It seems to be quite common for people to collect DVDs in the way that they might collect books or records in the past. Many people are proud of their DVD collections displayed in cases in their homes and quite frankly the more the better.
They add regularly to their DVD collections, either from the local shop or supermarket, online through one of the cut price internet stores or by ordering them from by telephone using www.organic0800numbers.co.uk, and they can soon add up to hundreds of DVDs.
However, in many cases they seem to be for show only as they start to gather dust pretty quickly and it is amazing how little the owner of these DVDs actually gets to watch them.
What is the point of owning a fabulous DVD collection if you are not going to watch them on a regular basis? Would it not be more prudent to save your money and take occasional trips to the cinema instead as at least you would be getting more value for money.
For an initiated one it seems to be a total waste of money and of space as you have to have somewhere to store them. Unless you intend to watch these DVDs why buy hundreds that you will never even open the cellophane packet let alone the case?
